California Forest Observatory is proud to announce the public launch of the California Forest Observatory platform at the September 14th meeting of the Forest Management Task Force.  Please add info@forestobservatory.com to your “safe senders” list to ensure you continue to get updates and information (instructions here).
The California Forest Observatory is a forest monitoring platform that combines satellite imagery, airborne LiDAR, and AI-powered ecological modeling to map vegetation fuels and wildfire hazard in unprecedented detail across the entire state. It’s a data-driven platform for researchers, policymakers, agencies, land managers, and  landowners to improve their understanding of the ecological patterns that drive wildfire behavior and plan forest management activities for wildfire resilience.
To learn more about the Forest Observatory and its high resolution data, please join us at the Task Force meeting (register here) and register for one of our Introduction Webinars below — the webinars are intended to provide much more detail than we can cover at the launch presentation.
At least half of each hour-long webinar will be dedicated to Q&A, so please feel free to reach out to us with questions or topics you would like us to cover at info@forestobservatory.com.

We look forward to sharing this with you!
