The Sierra Nevada Alliance’s  Sierra Summer Challenge just ended. Participants registered for a friendly competition to either summit the most Sierra peaks, or swim in the most Sierra alpine lakes, all while documenting their adventures and raising donations and awareness for the important work that the Alliance does to protect and restore this amazing region.

We have our winners!  

Andrea Johnson won the Sierra Alpine Lakes Challenge.  She won with 9 points.  Andrea took the best photo, swam in the most lakes, and raised the most money for the Alliance.

Luis Vidal won the Sierra Peak Summit Challenge. He won with 6 points.  Luis took the best photo and summited the most peaks.
