The Sugar Pine Foundation (SPF) and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) are teaming up for a morning of education and fun as we snowshoe along the Tahoe Rim Trail to Castle Rock and loop back to the Kingsbury North Trailhead. This will be a moderate level snowshoe trek, though it could be more challenging if snow levels are deep. Along the way, expert guides from the Sugar Pine Foundation will reveal the mysterious world of trees and discuss the fate of Lake Tahoe’s magnificent sugar pines. Be sure to bring a lunch to enjoy at a scenic overlook. Don’t forget your camera, snacks, water, sun protection and layers.
