Sierra Nevada Alliance Full Moon Snowshoe
February 1, 2026 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Come trek under the Snow Full Moon with us!
Join Sierra Nevada Alliance, Sierra Club Tahoe Area Group, and Sugar Pine Point State Park for a moonlit stroll under the full moon. We’ll celebrate the Snow Moon by learning about the unique landscape of Lake Tahoe, and maybe even do a snow dance! Naturalist Camden Dahms will provide a guided tour of the park, with a discussion on tree identification, lake formation, lake clarity, local wildlife, the Washoe Tribe, and the historic estate. Some of the route will be lightly forested, with most of it taking place in open spaces, offering a great view of the night sky!
