Lake Isabella stand up paddle board and kayak cleanup

September 30, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Register Now

Join Kern River Conservancy for their first stand-up paddle board and kayak cleanup along the shores of Lake Isabella.

Meet at the Kern County Parks Ranger Station. All participants must bring their own SUP or Kayak with a life jacket. All equipment will be inspected during registration, and wrist bands will be issued to all who are cleared to participate in the cleanup. This is an all ages, family friendly event. KRC asks that all participants know how to swim and have the proper safety gear to accommodate their SUP or kayak. Please bring a backpack with water and snacks, proper clothing and shoes for water recreation, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

Once participants are cleared and checked in, we will assign you a cleanup location. Participants must stay within 15 feet of the lake shore while paddling and collecting trash. KRC will provide trash bags and gloves. If you already have a boat permit for Lake Isabella, great! If not, your volunteer wristband will give you an exemption during the cleanup only. If you don’t have a SUP or kayak but still want to participate in the event, KRC can assign you to areas by car.
