Each Open Farm Day is a unique event with special activities. On September 17 from 10am – 2pm, take a stroll through history to discover how early pioneers and miners made a living during Pioneer and Miner Day at Wakamatsu Farm.

Special activities-

• Learn about the development of Gold Hill, the life of a miner
• Sample and take home pioneer recipes
• Learn about medicines and herbs used by early pioneers.
• Walk to evidence of mining on the property to appreciate the unique geology of this site and learn about the mining techniques used by early miners to find gold on the farm
• See historic maps and photographs, or take a tour about the property to find clues the pioneers left behind
