Tahoe Backcountry Safety Awareness: Lake Tahoe Snowmobilers Meetup and Beacon Park – Take Care Tahoe

Join Take Care Tahoe and experts from around the Tahoe Basin and beyond for Tahoe Backcountry Safety Awareness Week.

Description: The Lake Tahoe Snowmobilers is a 501(c)3 run by a group of volunteers committed to winter avalanche safety education and practice, promoting positive backcountry experiences and snowmobile for all backcountry users, and advocating for motorized backcountry experiences and access for all, regardless of health-status, physical abilities, socioeconomic background, or culture.
Join us on the third Saturday of the month at 10am to practice using your avalanche gear with our beacon park, all backcountry users are invited! If you would like to ride with us for the day, join us at 9 AM on those days to meet and greet other riders and their families, use our beacon park at 10 AM, group up into riding groups at 11 AM based on your riding level to go through the SAC Daily Flow as a group and set your radio channel, then at 11:30 AM ride while learning some new terrain and boundaries, while also improving your riding skills.
