Naturalist and nature photographer Gavin Furman from the South Lake Tahoe Library will talk about observing the natural world with an eye towards shaping and sharing the stories we find there. The talk blends local nature photography and nature writing from both well- and lesser-known authors to reinforce good observation techniques and illustrate how interpreting scientific observation into affecting stories can not only enrich our own experiences but can also help to build towards a culture of stewardship.
