Forest Futures Salon – Prescribed Fire: What, Why and How

Learn what prescribed fire is, why it is a necessary forest management tool and how land managers decide when and where to apply it to the landscape. You’ll hear from our local land management agencies and the Nevada County RCD on why they utilize prescribed fire and how private property owners can bring fire onto their own lands.
