Back by popular demand! Woods Apothecary has added a second Edible and Medicinal plants of the Tahoe Sierra on June 26 from 3-5:30pm.
Interested in knowing what plants are edible and medicinal in our bioregion? Become more self-reliant and confident in choosing herbal medicines and wild foods for yourself and loved ones. Learn to positively identify, utilize, propagate, forage ecologically minded and become a steward of the lands we call home. Deep dive into the traditional uses, botany, medicinal and edible uses/recipes, lore and science of the plants in the Tahoe basin.
We will be exploring another location this time the Hawley Grade trail area (in Meyers). The plants are in their full glory and it’s a wonderful time to meet them.
Bring a pen for notes, hat, water, and whatever you need to be outdoors hiking around and learning. A phone camera is useful for photographic identification.
