In collaboration with Redbud Resource Group and Happy Valley Film Company, “Steps to Land Back: Wappo and Sugarloaf Ridge State Park ” highlights the co-partnership between Wappo tribal members and the Sonoma Ecology Center Staff at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. The film exemplifies best practices in strengthening Tribal sovereignty and building relationships between Native and Non Native communities. The creators hope that the film inspires each of you to find mutually beneficial ways to support your local Native Tribe and environment.
