Executive Director – Sierra State Parks Foundation

Sierra State Parks Foundation seeks an inclusive, strategic, and collaborative leader with integrity, vision, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The Executive Director will guide and expand SSPF’s impact through a synergistic, partnership-driven approach.
The Sierra State Parks Foundation (SSPF), a leading and long-standing nonprofit in the Tahoe Truckee region, is searching for our next Executive Director to lead the organization into its second 50 years of service and support to our local California State Parks.
SSPF exists to fill gaps in much-needed funding for education programs and restoration projects that enhance visitors’ experience and create a welcoming experience for all.
Core Areas:
Duties include collaborating with the Board President and Executive Committees of the Board of Directors to guide SSPF’s periodic development and financial position; fostering a positive relationship with all current and prospective donors, members, and community – as well as with Parks; and overseeing the daily operations.
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package, including comprehensive benefits and an anticipated annual salary range of $80,000 – $105,000, depending upon experience.
Location:
This is not a hybrid position. SSPF headquarters is in Tahoe City, CA. The Executive Director will lead a hybrid team of program managers and seasonal staff. Frequent travel to locations throughout the Lake Tahoe region, meeting with donors, local events and speaking engagements, onsite meetings, and partner meetings are expected.
