Washoe Meadows State Park Cleanup
August 2, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
We invite you to lend a hand and help Sierra Nevada Alliance, Sierra State Parks Foundation, Sierra Club Tahoe Area Group in a cleanup event for the watershed in the area of Washoe Meadows State Park on Tuesday, August 2 from 10 am – 12 pm. This event will be supported by Clean Tahoe.
Washoe Meadows is part of the Upper Truckee Watershed which flows into Lake Tahoe. Litter in the park pollutes our streams, rivers, and aquifers and then flows into the Lake. You can help clean the park, and protect Big Blue!
Where: Meet at the Lake Tahoe Blvd entrance to Washoe Meadows State Park (near Tahoe Mountain Road) to pick up instructions and supplies.
What to bring: Wear comfortable trail walking shoes, bring something to drink, and use sunscreen. Bring work gloves if you’d like. Trash bags, buckets, and grabbers will be available.
Volunteer registration is suggested. Walk-ins welcome!
Please see the event flyer for location map and more information. We hope to see you there!
