Join us for a special Sierra Speaker Series – Donner Relief Expedition Finale on February 18th at Donner Memorial State Park. The presentation starts at 2 pm, followed by Q & A. Attendance is free, but pre-registration is mandatory (limited capacity) and masks are required indoors. $5 State Park parking fee applies. Attendees will receive a free copy of the booklet, The Donner Party: Heroism, Pathos, and the Human Spirit.

Donations support interpretative programming of the Sierra State Parks Foundation.

Timeline:

• Noon (not ticketed) – Welcome the Forlorn Hope Rescue Party at their endpoint of the 5-day journey, in front of the Pioneer Monument; public is welcomed.
• 2 – 4 pm (tickets required) – Presentation and panel discussion in the Donner Memorial State Park Visitor Center, followed by Q & A.
