Friends of the Inyo’s Owens Lake Bird Festival, with generous sponsorship support from the County of Inyo and AltaOne Federal Credit Union (with branches in Bishop and Lone Pine, CA), returns again in 2024 as a three-day event on Earth Day weekend, April 19-21, in Lone Pine. Join us as we showcase the birds of Owens Lake and its surroundings and raise awareness about the work of Friends of the Inyo, especially in southern Inyo County. The schedule of events includes:

• Friday, April 19: Happy hour and check-in at FOI’s Lone Pine office from 5:30-8:00pm (optional)
• Saturday, April 20: Half-day and full-day tours. Dinner and silent auction at the Lone Pine Museum of Western Film History. Dinner starts at 6:00pm (optional). Guest Speaker is Jolie Varela, founder of Indigenous Women Hike.
• Sunday, April 21: Morning half-day tours
