Non-Profit Budgeting 101
July 13, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
The Alliance is hosting a “Non-Profit Budgeting 101” workshop for conservation professionals on July 13th from 9:00am-11:00am. Alliance staff, Member Groups, and sponsors may reserve their free spot for the workshop here. Non Members can sign up here for a small $15 fee.
In this workshop you will learn how to read non-profit financial reports, how to implement and develop budgets, and how to plan and understand the inner workings of cash flow vs. balancing a budget. This is a great training to develop project managers and create better engaged boards for informed financial review and decision making.

Andrea began her career working for a prestigious Chartered
Accounting firm in Vancouver, BC, as a Summer Intern in her first year of
tertiary education.
Over the next ten+ years, Andrea would enjoy working on engagements
ranging from bookkeeping, to accounting software system design and
implementation, tax return development, tax litigation assignments,
budget and forecasting, and finally compilation through audit attest
assignments, with emphasis on publicly traded entities (SEC and TSX-V).
As a result, Andrea worked with clients in industries ranging from
government, childcare, water utility, natural resource exploration and
development, manufacturing, hospitality, fashion, real estate, and
refuse and recycling.
A move to the United States, would next allow Andrea to enjoy tenure
for five+ years with an influential Environmental Agency in capacity of
Finance Manager for the “Lake Tahoe Aquatic Invasive Species
Program”. This opportunity provided Andrea with invaluable experience
to understanding the complexities and nuances to governmental
accounting and grant compliance.
With this unique background, Andrea launched Drew Consulting Inc., a
(California) small business certified, boutique accounting and business
advisory firm, to proactively support the growth of its valued business
partners.
