This field trip will take participants north of Carson Pass toward Meiss Meadow. Participants will encounter open granite, mountain meadows, fir-lodgepole conifer forest, and subalpine habitats.

The wildflowers are gorgeous in the late summer. Highlights include Clark’s Nutcracker on whitebark pine, spectacular views, paintbrushes, lupines, polygonums, buckwheats, fleabanes, prairie-smoke (Geum), and much more!
