Big Day of Giving – Sierra Nevada Alliance
May 2, 2023 @ 8:00 am - May 4, 2023 @ 11:59 pm
Sierra Nevada Alliance is excited to announce that we’re participating in the Big Day of Giving for the first time! Big Day of Giving is an annual 24-hour giving challenge coordinated by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation to help nonprofits raise funds for mission-critical programs.
The early donation period is open. Can we count on you to support our efforts to strategically and collaboratively protect and preserve the Sierra Nevada now and for future generations?
How, you ask? Give. Share. Know.
Give: You can get a jumpstart and donate to Sierra Nevada Alliance now through 11:59 pm on Thursday, May 4. Donations as little as $15 make a big difference, and your gifts can help us win some of the prizes that are up for grabs!
Share: Let your networks know that you support our cause by sharing our posts on your social media accounts or creating and sharing your fundraising campaign through our giving site. A good word from a donor like you is the most meaningful way for us to spread our mission.
Know: Learn a little bit about what your generous donation supports. Check it out:
Advocacy work like Sierra Day at the Capitol to increase resource investments that support our collective conservation and restoration goals benefiting the Sierra Nevada and the state’s water supply, air quality, carbon-storing forests, and premier recreation.
Preparing environmental future leaders like Jack through our Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership (SNAP) Program. Jack works with his host site at Camp Tawonga and educates campers about fire mitigation, forest health, and stewardship projects.
Building momentum and a community of stewards through our Take Care Sierra recreational stewardship and environmental education campaign. Takecaresierra.org educates visitors and residents about how to take care of the Sierra Nevada and garners awareness and support from decision-makers to enhance protection for the region.
Please consider hopping on the generosity train and making a contribution this Big Day of Giving. It’s one easy way you can help build a resilient Sierra Nevada today.
