2024 NatureFest

Join Bear Yuba Land Trust for our 4th Annual NatureFest! Grab the family and head outside for a fun-filled day of self-guided activities! BYLT and our recreational partners will be set up at four local trailheads with everything you need to explore nature and enjoy the outdoors! With a very special appearance by Woodsy Owl!
RSVP requested though event-day drop-ins welcome.
Participate at any (or all) of these four community trails:
Wildflower Ridge Trail (near downtown Grass Valley): Meet us at Twin Cities Church parking lot off of Rough & Ready HWY. Look for the BYLT Booth at the start of the trail. Park on the far west side of the Twin Cities Church on Rough and Ready Highway (the left side when entering the church parking lot) and proceed on the trail following the road to the trailhead on the east side of the church.
Alan Theisen Trail (Alta Sierra): Meet us at the Adam Ryan Wildlife Preserve Parking lot on the corner of Dog Bar Rd and Alta Sierra Drive. The BYLT booth will be at the beginning of the trailhead.
Hirschman Trail (near the Rood Center in Nevada City): Meet us at the Cement Hill Road Trailhead, off Highway 49 past the Nevada County Government Center. Turn left into the unpaved driveway at 115 Cement Hill Road and look for the BYLT Booth in the small parking area on the left.
Litton Trail (near Sierra College in Grass Valley): Meet us off of Sierra College Drive before the roundabout heading up the hill. Look for the BYLT Booth at the beginning of the trailhead.
Come early to receive a NatureFest goodie bag (quantities limited), including a nature journal, pencil, compass for a scavenger hunt, and additional items for self-guided nature fun!
