The Sierra Nevada Alliance staff consists of 45+ full time staff members.
This includes Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps (SNAP) members, and Sierra Corps fellows. SNAP and Sierra Corps members are placed with host organizations throughout the Sierra.
Each year, the Sierra Nevada Alliance places 28 AmeriCorps members with partner conservation organizations throughout the Sierra Nevada. During their terms of service, members restore and monitor impaired Sierra watersheds, educate and outreach to Sierra residents and visitors on environmental issues, and recruit and manage volunteers for a variety of programs.
Sierra Corps is a Fellowship program that aims to increase workforce capacity for organizations and agencies implementing forest health and natural resource management projects throughout the Sierra. The program creates leaders in the conservation field by providing technical trainings and meaningful career development opportunities through the Fellowship positions.
The 2020-2022 terms are over and we’ll be hiring more Fellows in Autumn 2022.
