Supervisor, Cultural Resource Program – California State Parks

Under the general direction of the State Historic Preservation Officer and the Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer, the Supervisor, Cultural Resource Program oversees and coordinates the statewide activities of the Architectural Review, Registration, and Environmental Compliance Unit within the California Office of Historic Preservation.
This leadership role is both challenging and rewarding, requiring strong writing and organizational skills, sharp analytical ability, and the capacity to clearly present ideas both in writing and verbally. The successful candidate will have a strong academic foundation and experience in History or Architectural History, along with proven experience supervising professional staff in related disciplines. The candidate must be able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with staff, management, and external partners to achieve the office’s preservation goals across California.
