Operations Manager – Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association

TAMBA is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual to provide support for the core operations of our organization. The Operations Manager is an essential member to TAMBA’s growing team and organization. This role presents the opportunity to support the daily operations and events managed by a small, passionate team, and provides exposure to influential local businesses, agencies, and a growing network of mountain bike enthusiasts.

Position Summary:

Administrative duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Executive Director and TAMBA staff and board members to ensure efficient operation of the organization. You will support the chair, treasurer, trails director, outreach coordinator, board members and crew leaders through a variety of tasks related to the organization. Duties will also include working closely with TAMBA members and the public at events and trailwork days etc. The administrative job scope includes communicating via phone and computer, ensuring all administrative duties are completed accurately, and in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing TAMBA email and respond to, and/or forward inquiries
  • Managing financial and member management systems including grant updates and reporting.
  • Working with Local, State and Federal government agencies to maintain all required licenses, reporting and certifications.
  • Coordinating volunteer and donor recognition of various forms.
  • Assisting with all insurance renewals, COI’s and and reporting requirements
  • Helping manage the TAMBA website, soliciting and preparing content for blog, website and newsletter.
  • Grant writing and sponsorship acquisition for events and fundraising
  • Collaborating on e-newsletter, video production, ad placement, press releases, social media, etc. Includes marketing, advertising, and brand management
  • Website and database management
  • Donor and volunteer relations cultivation and retention
  • Preparing and attending monthly board meetings and taking notes.
  • Assisting TAMBA Leadership with event planning, production, and management, ranging from small to large scale
  • Liaison with Events and Marketing Committees and others as needed
  • Compose and/or edit and send out professional quality letters, emails, memos and other communications
  • High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism
  • Highly skilled at multi-tasking
  • Excels in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Comfortable managing databases and producing reports
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends in support of events, at locations around the Lake Tahoe Area.

As needed:

  • Schedule and coordinate projects, maintain calendars, prepare financial reports, research special projects and grants.
  • Support project leaders on various trail projects.
  • Work with various land management agencies on agreements and partnerships.
