Giant Sequioa Lands Coalition Partnership Coordinator – Save the Redwoods League


In partnership with the Giant Sequoia Lands Coalition, Save the Redwoods League is seeking a skilled professional to help coordinate and manage the Coalition’s overall partnership structure, communications, work planning and collective functions. The Coalition is a collaboration of public, Tribal, and non-governmental organizations committed to the stewardship and conservation of giant sequoia grove ecosystems across California. The Partnership Coordinator, based in Tulare or Fresno Counties, will serve as the linchpin of the Coalition, fostering collaboration and facilitating progress toward shared goals. This role provides an exciting opportunity for  a proactive, innovative individual who excels in partnership environments and is dedicated to authentic collaboration.

This new position is full-time, with benefits and secured funding for two years, with the potential to extend as additional funding is raised.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coalition Coordination, Governance & Processes:

  • Coordinates Coalition activities to align with strategic goals and ensures the fulfillment of its mission.
  • Monitors and adjusts work plans to support strategic direction and task implementation.
  • Identifies emergent themes and facilitates decision-making processes within the Coalition.
  • Develops and maintains processes for effective decision-making and governance.
  • Manages an annual calendar of meetings, events, and project milestones.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for Coalition communication and information dissemination.

Committee & Branch Meeting Coordination & Support:

  • Facilitates meetings and tracks key action items and decisions.
  • Provides logistical support and coordinates with external speakers and consultants.

Coalition Convenings, Peer Exchange, & Connectivity:

  • Builds and maintains relationships among Coalition participants.
  • Establishes and reinforces group norms and facilitates conflict resolution.
  • Plans and leads Coalition convenings and events.

Communications, Fundraising & Information Management:

  • Implements communication strategies and maintains online platforms.
  • Manages contact databases, agreements, and document storage systems.
  • Supports fundraising efforts and assists with grant preparation and submission.
  • Coordinates logistics for media events.
  • In collaboration with coalition members, responds to press inquiries and information requests from elected officials.

Budget, Contract & Reimbursement Management:

  • Tracks budget allocations and manages reimbursement requests.

Requirements and Desired Education:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar field or position or Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience in multi-partner facilitation and meeting coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and videoconferencing technology.
  • Familiarity with environmental science and stewardship.
  • Interest in nature, climate change adaptation, and/or forestry.

Working Conditions/Physical Effort:

  • Primarily office-based work with occasional travel.
  • Regular computer use and interaction with office equipment.
  • Potential for weekend work and offsite activities.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of objects up to thirty pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

As a full-time non-exempt employee, you will be eligible for full benefits which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, three weeks of vacation annually plus holidays, and a 403(b) retirement plan, currently with an up to 8% company match. We offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience and internal equity considerations.  The hiring range for this position is $56,500-66,500 per year.
