Sierra Club Desert and Wilderness Committee meeting
February 8, 2025 @ 8:00 am - February 9, 2025 @ 12:00 pm
Shoshone is a small desert town in southeast Inyo County with a long history. Owner Susan Sorrells will be our host. The weather should be comfortable— expect cool (even cold) nights and pleasant days (no guarantee). Many camp out—either on the Flower Building grounds or in the nearby desert. Bring a tent, sleep in the vehicle, or in the open. Lodging accommodations available in Shoshone, Tecopa, and Pahrump. Hot springs and brewery in Tecopa.
Jora Fogg and Mason Voehl will chair the meeting. The schedule below is somewhat fluid. If you have a topic you would like to present, contact Jora at 360-259-4275, jora@conservationlands.org. We encourage Powerpoint presentations and if you want to bring a handout or have a call to action, 30-40 copies are recommended. Full agendas will be sent our via email the week of January 27th.
