Project on Preserve: Wildflower Ridge Preserve
Join us for Project on Preserve, BYLT’s hands-on community volunteer work day. Whether you love building new trails, pulling invasive plants by the handful, or learning about the role of fire in healthy ecosystems—there’s meaningful work waiting for you.
We’ll be working together on these important tasks:
- Meadow Restoration:
-
- Removing Scotch broom, blackberry, and other pesky invasive species
-
- Building a New Trail:
-
-
- Clearing vegetation and brush from the trail path
- Digging and leveling the ground to create a smooth, even trail surface
- Shaping the trail, ensuring proper drainage, and minimizing erosion
-
-
- Pile Burning
- Trash Pick Up
We’ll provide tools, water, snacks, plus donuts and coffee to keep everyone energized throughout the day! Please bring gloves, a water bottle, snacks, and loppers if you have them.
