Traditionally considered recreational assets, NSTs—such as mountain bike singletrack—can also function as practical, low-impact transportation corridors that enhance connectivity, promote multi-modal use, and accommodate diverse users. Using real-world examples like the Whisper Valley subdivision in Texas, the presentation outlines the benefits, planning considerations, and implementation strategies for incorporating NSTs into greenways and public trail systems.
