Winter is around the corner! Join the Nickolay Dodov Foundation for an avalanche safety presentation to refresh your knowledge and learn more on how to travel safe in avalanche terrain. This FREE Avalanche Awareness Presentation of the Program “Know Before You Go” is at the Turtle Rock Community Center, Markleeville, California for the Alpine Trail Association and Alpine Watershed Group. The program stresses five steps of preparation to ensure the safest possible skiing/snowboarding experience when in uncontrolled areas. The Program is presented by Jason Bilek, NDF Avalanche Educator, Professional Observer for Sierra Avalanche Center, Heli Snowboard Guide.
