Join us for a short informational hike in partnership with the Sugar Pine Foundation! This is a great opportunity to learn about forest and fire ecology and forest restoration. We will compare and contrast burned and unburned sections of forest on Echo summit. Bring your questions on tree identification, forest ecology and Caldor fire restoration efforts. Great views of Lake Audrian and Lake Tahoe to be had as well!

When: Saturday 23 Sept 2023 ⋅ 10am – 12:30pm

Additional Details: We will hike 2.5 miles with ~500 ft. elevation gain. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, snacks, and sun protection. Don’t forget your camera, binoculars, and any plant ID tools desired.
