Celebration of Trails Poetry on Preserves
Poetry Reading & Writing Workshop with Meredith Heller
Saturday, June 15, 10am-12pm
Rice’s Crossing Preserve, South (See below for directions).
Join Poetry on Preserves commissioned poet, Meredith Heller, for a reading of select poems including her poem for Celebration of Trails, “Huntress of the Holy Sound.” Rice’s Crossing Preserve is serenely situated along the South Yuba River, and was only recently opened up to the public. Come be inspired by the natural beauty and the sounds of the river as Meredith leads you in a group writing exercise. Please bring water, a snack, hat, sunscreen, and something to sit on. Writing journal and pencil will be provided.

Meredith Heller is a poet, author, singer/songwriter, avid nature lover, and educator with degrees in writing and education. She leads workshops at schools, women’s prisons, the Institute for Poetic Medicine, the Kennedy Center for the Arts, the National Association for Poetry Therapy, wellness retreats, creativity summits, and online.
