In The Field: Bear Valley Conservation Easement Tour

Join Bear Yuba Land Trust and Friends of Sierra Rock Art’s Bill Drake on a trek through time at our Bear Valley Conservation Easement. Covering over 2,300 acres, including the headwaters region of the Bear River, the Bear Valley Conservation Easement has exceptional biological and historical features that we’ll explore. Expect a moderate hike, with plenty of opportunities to pause and take in the historical sites.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water, snacks, a hat, and sunblock. BYLT will provide a water station and some additional snacks as well.
When: Friday, November 8, 10am to 1pm
Where To Meet: Two Options
- Rood Center parking lot in Nevada City to caravan with BYLT, meet us there by 9am; OR
- Bear Valley Conservation Easement parking lot on Zeibright Road at the intersection of Hwy 20, by there by 10am
