Due Diligence in the Gold Country
REMEDIATING CALIFORNIA’S ABANDONED MINE LANDS

A free, virtual workshop series
Mondays in May 2021 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Increasing the pace and scale of mine remediation is vital to transform the toxic legacy of California’s 19th century Gold Rush from destruction into innovation and protection of Sierra Nevada headwaters. This workshop series will present The Sierra Fund’s newest report outlining a strategy to finally remediate California’s dangerous legacy mines so that headwater and downstream communities’ water, soil and air support healthy places to live, work, and thrive. The report will be circulated prior to the event and discussed in detail by experts in the field.

MONDAY MAY 10: TSF’s Model: Informed Assessment Methods
MONDAY MAY 17: How Informed Assessment Impacts Appraisal & Liability
