Over multiple funding rounds, the Regional Resilience Grant Program (RRGP) will invest $125 million into local public entities, California Native American Tribes, and Community-Based Organizations that are planning and implementing projects that advance climate resilience and respond to the greatest climate risks in their regions. With a focus on supporting communities most vulnerable to climate change impacts, RRGP will invest $21.3 million during Round 1 and at least $12.5 million of that total in regional planning efforts.

The Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) and the Integrated Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program (ICARP) are pleased to invite public comments on the RRGP Draft Round 1 Grant Guidelines. Public comment will be accepted from January 17, 2023, until March 3, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.

Please share your public comments during one of the virtual public Guideline Workshops or email your comments to icarp.grants@opr.ca.gov no later than March 3rd at 5:00 p.m. In Spring 2023, the RRGP team will publish the final guidelines online after incorporating the feedback from public comments.
